We met in Zanzibar in 2023. We immediately liked each other and so each began to tell the other from his cultural circle. And so it happened that the Maasai began to teach the German tourist the language of the Maasai.

We had many conversations in English and decided to launch this website to bring the Maasai language to others.

Although the Maasai as a society are quite well known in Europe, their language is relatively unknown. Various language projects approach the Maa language in a very academic way, which unfortunately means that the fun of the language is completely lost. For this reason, we both decided to approach this project very pragmatically and create the content from the point of view of two people who have the simple desire to communicate better with each other.
